Flora Vesta Smith Helmick set out from Bridgewater, Virginia in a light green 1967 Ford Fairlane for a family reunion in Kentucky with Martha Helmick and John Keyton on August 3, 1973. The trio have never been found.
It is believed they may have wrecked while traveling and their vehicle may have went underwater.
