Elsie Mae Roane was last seen by a police officer, she was walking down a street in West Point, Virginia, at 11:00pm on May 20, 1957. Elsie was carrying 2 suitcases. She wore eyeglasses and she may have been pregnant. She lived with her father who did not report her missing until 3 days later – he worked the night shift at the local Navy Depot and often did not see Elsie. Elsie’s mother passed away 2 years before her disappearance.
In 2015, police released information stating they have a suspect in her case, no names have been released.
