Richard “Petie” William Miller, Jr.

Richard “Petie” William Miller, Jr. was last seen November 17, 1983 when he stopped along the road on his way to work in Staunton, Virginia, to help a motorist. The motorist was his fiancee’s stepfather, Charles Almond.

Petie was wearing a red shirt, dark blue work pants, blue jacket and brown dress boots. His truck was found in Richmond a few weeks later.

Charles Almond was convicted of Petie’s murder in 2015, he was sentenced to life in prison. Petie’s body has never been recovered.
